Maximum Serial data transmission.

Hi,

I am using VS2005 serial programming to write data to a serial port.

I am experimenting with size of data to transmit on one write.

I have tried sending a byte array of 7-8KB in one write() but find that only
approximately 3K is sent.

Is there a maximum buffer size for each write command?

To transmit 8K of data should i use 4-5 or more write commands instead of 1
write command?
