I'm trying to speed up my coding by not doing so much manually, use the
automated tools more. I'm binding the Datasource, DisplayMember, and
ValueMember to a Combo.
The automation also puts a MenuStrip at the top of the window with a
"+" button for adding a new row. This causes an error if I try to save
a new row, because the text of the combo is not the "Selected Value".
If I bind the SelectedValue to the text, I can't move through the list
by typing in the combo because of an error that the value is already in
the list.
How do you get it so that it allows AutoComplete typing your way to a
record you want to modify, while also letting you add a new row from
scratch?
(The value in the combo is also the PK).
