DataTable - setting a filter on a type of Version

I have a table with a field of type System.Version. I'm trying to set a
filter on it to a specific version but can't get it to work. I'm doing:
string lsOldRecords = "( SoftwareName = '" + pvsSoftwareName + "' ) and "
+
"( Version <> '" + pvVersion.ToString() + "' )";

Where pvVersion is of type System.Version.

I'm getting an error message saying it can't convert the type from string to
system.version.

How do I do this comparison?
