Can you be more specific? Are you using Forms? Post a description of
what you're trying to accomplish.

I am developing and application using C#.Net and Sql Server. I am using
Windows Forms. I have several windows (i.e Owner, Animal, Service). When I
start the application the owner windows is displayed first. If I click on a
button, or menu item to display a sub window thats works ok. If then I try
and click on the main menu for let say the animal window the application will
beep until I close the prier window first. I would like to leave those
windows open while I do something else. I hope this helps.

My guess is that in your Owner form you are calling
subwindow.ShowDialog(). Try calling subwindow.Show() instead.
