MetaDraw background image in WinForm

Hi all,

I'm working on a windows application, thats essentially a drawing program.
I'm not the original developer on it and have a few problems with the
MetaDraw component.

Upon creation of a new drawing, the user can specify a background image for
the drawing.
This background picture is inserted by adding it as an MDPicture object to
the Picture property, to the MetaDraw object.

metaDraw.Picture = new MDPicture(fileName);

My problem is, that when the user prints the image or exports it to a report
(crystal reports), I cant remove this background image again.

I've tried clearing the ExportOptions flags and when I debug through, I can
see that the MetaDraw.BackPicture is null.
Yet the background is still visible.

Anyone have a way to remove the background image temporarily?
