Add shortcut on desktop for Published application

How do I set the publish wizard to add a shortcut to the client's desktop?

Hi,
How do I set the publish wizard to add a shortcut to
the client's desktop?

I am afraid the ClickOnce installation only supports the creation of the
Start menu's shortcut, but not the desktop's shortcut icon.

If you need to create a desktop icon for your Clickonce application, one
workaround is to provide your application with the necessary file code
access permissions. With that you can write custom code in the startup of
your application (ClickOnce apps startup after install by default), then
you can create the desktop icon at that time. Please refer to the following
link for a code sample:

Creating Shell Links (Shortcuts) in .NET Programs Using WSH
http://www.codeproject.com/dotnet/shelllink.asp

By the way, if you take this approach, the desktop's shortcut won't be
removed when your application has been uninstalled.
Thanks!

Best regards,
