C# Event to be handled by an external class

Hi guys,

I have a rather newbie question. I have created a simple form with a button. I want to fire an event when I click the button that can be "picked up" by an external class/ C# application. Can this be done, or must the event handler be registered specifically? i.e. Can a generic C# class wait for an event that has been fired by another C# class?

Thank you very much,

Andreas M
