Publish wizard and IIS

Hello there people

I'm having problems when publishing an application on the internet
using the publish wizard from Visual Studio 2005. I am being able to
publish on the internet (on web site) so that clients can download it
and install it on their pc.

The problem is with security. I'm using basic authentication only.
However when a client (even from locally) tries to download it receives
an error "Application download did not succeed. Check your network
connection, or contact your system administrator or network service
provider".

If I untick "Integrated Windows Authentication" it will work however I
will loose the security window that prompts the user to enter his
username and password.

Is there a way how to go around it or solve it maybe I'm missing some
settings?

Thanks much appreciated
