Drag and Drop to Explorer

Hi all who read this.

I'm currently writing a test harness which would benefit greatly from
the ability to drag something (from ListView/TreeView) TO the
desktop/explorer Window and create a file there with the name and data
that I supply.

I have looked through a lot of postings today and various websites
(MSDN, CodeProject, CodeGuru, Google, Google Groups) for many hours
today and I can't find anyone who has solved this.

Some people mention using COM, IStream stuff but I'm not well versed in
COM.

Can anyone help me (and the others out there who want to do this) or,
if possible, would anyone be able to supply a simple sample of the
DragDrop/DragEnter method that achieves this?

I would greatly appreciate it - it is just driving me nuts! It must be
possible!

Thanks for your time

Paul
