Security Permissions

Hi, has anyone got any good articles / tutorials for setting up security
permissions in a c# .NET 2.0 project?

Im just using FxCop and its asking me to set default security attributes
etc, which ive done, but i dont actually understand what its doing /
going to do.

Are you supposed to set attributes on the assembly and then on each
function which may require additional / less security?

If i have a function which saves a file do i need an assembly attribute?

Or is most of this not needed for many application and just signing the
application will do?

Thanks,
