C# GUI event run a C executable

I have a C# GUI on a Windows XP machine. I need it to run a C
executable which resides on a UNIX machine which is networked with the
Windows machine. In C++, I think I could have done this with a
System() call. Is there a way to do this in C#?

thanks,

Zenon
