well even i dont know what approach you need. but i can tell you that
if you need APIs to burn disk than you can use AHEAD NERO CD BURNER's
APIs. you can find it on its site. i've checked it long back.

there are also some free cd burner APIs. you can find them by google.

Thanks for reply but what about the operating system.
i use WinXP and it has option to write to cd/dvd.
how i can use the same API that WinXP use?.
i don't want to use any external or 3rd party API.
?I hope you can help.
Thanks again.

Microsoft once posted somewhere XPBurn or something like that. I'd search
for it - it includess the source code. If you can't find it, send me an
email (remove *SPAM*) at *S*******************@hotmail.com

alexmaster,

Windows supports CD/DVD writing to a degree. The API you want to use is
called the "Image Mastering API", and you can find the reference at:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...tering_api.asp

You will need to use a good deal of COM interop to use this though. A
good write up of how to do this can be found at:

http://www.vbaccelerator.com/home/NE...PI/article.asp

Hope this helps.
