How does .Merge() coordinate?

If I have a dataset with one table and want to merge another table, how
does merge know which column to match rows on in each table?

For example

Table 1:
personid
firstname
lastname
address
city
state
zip
phone

Table 2:
personid
statusid
passid
eventid

It should match personid in each table and add the missing columns and
data to one of the tables. When I do this:

DSone.Tables["tableone"].Merge(DStwo.Tables["tabletwo"], false,
MissingSchemaAction.Add)

The first table in the DSone table collection has 8 columns. The first
four columns have data and the last four are null.

Is any of the above something merge can do or should I be using
something different?

Thanks,
Brett
