Hi,
I just upgraded to VS 2005 from 2003, and builds have become much slower
(like 10 times worse). I have noticed 2 things that I can not explain:
1. Everytime I build, I get a message on my "Error List" that says: "An
error occurred while validating. HRESULT = '8000000A'.
2. During the build I get 3 warnings in my "Event Viewer". They say:
"Detection of product '{743B1F56-006C-4F58-B032-1150DBC61230}', feature
'DefaultFeature' failed during request for component
'{1B828E4D-41EC-540F-C460-A13EC1347D29}'
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.",
"Detection of product '{743B1F56-006C-4F58-B032-1150DBC61230}', feature
'DefaultFeature' failed during request for component
'{43732D49-FFC0-46E6-19AE-BA4EB1319C31}'
For more information, see Help and Support Center at

Any ideas on how to diagnose/solve this problem would be appreciated.

Jake,
This looks like your Visual Studio.NET 2005 installation didn't make it
100%, since it's telling you "I'm looking for something I need and it isn't
there."
You should really try the VS.NET install newsgroup, or the product feedback
site and search if others have reported your issue and what workarounds or
fixes there are.
