Word documents and SQL Db

Hello,

we are storing several word documents in our sql db. When docs are needed,
they are streamed out to a file & then opened with word by user. I would
like to skip the writting to temporary doc file.
Is there a way to 'open' them directly from database into word using
interop.word or smt. similar - and to do that without writing them to disk
first ?

thx,
Huge
