Activating Performance Counters with C#

Hello all.

I'm looking for an answer to this for a long long time...

I'm trying to activate a performance counter log using C# code.
I have a predefined counter log in perfmon (perfmon.exe) and manually it is
activated by clicking the little "play" button above it (and it starts
capturing data into a CSV file).
I'm trying to activate it using code and by name.
Notes:
* I'm using win2000. In winXP there is a utility called logman.exe which
does this from command line (but doesn't work in win2000). A util like that
for win2000 can also be a solution
* I'm trying to activate an existing counter, not create a new one using the
class PerformanceCounter.
* I think that if I change the start time of the counter log to the past and
start the SysmonLog service, it should start. But I didn't succeed in doing
that.

Thanks.
Nadav.
