Possible VS2005 bug?

Hi,

I've made a very simple custom DataGridViewColumn.

The code:
public class CustomDataGridTextBoxColumn :
System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewColumn, IControl
{
private string globalID;
public CustomDataGridTextBoxColumn() : base(new
DataGridViewTextBoxCell()
{
}

public string GlobalID { get..... set.... };
}

In the VS designer for the DataGridView I see my new column (when adding a
column to the DGV)
and I can also see the GlobalID property...
BUT even if I change the value of the GlobalID (in the designer), the value
ALWAYS remains null,
no matter what I put in...

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

thanks,
saso
