FreeImage from GDI+ bitmap

Sorry if this is an easy question but Ive been searching for ages and cannot
find an answer...

I have a GDI bitmap that I want to save as a 16bit per channel TIFF. Im
trying to use FreeImage (as .NET does not seem to support this format).

Does anyone know how to convert the Bitmap to a FreeImage ?

Thanks for any help

Todd.
