communication with a GSM module

Hi all,

Just wondering if any one can help here, I have been asked if I can
create an app that will communicate with a piece of hardware in a remote
location that has a GSM module fitted. The app will download data from
the remote hardware so it can be displayed in graphs and saved locally
to the users PC.

Has anyone done this before?

How do I connect to the remote GSM module?

Do I use AT commands?

Any help or pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi Joe,

I think this highly depends on the interface that GSM module has exposed.
Please refer to the documents that the GSM vendor has provided. Or we can
wait to see if any community member who can shed some light on this issue.

I think I need to get in touch with the remote devices manufacturer.

Many thanks.
