Cannot shift objects off sheet

I'm beating my head against a wall, here. I'm trying to insert a row into
an Excel spreadsheet using C#, but keep getting the "cannot shift" error.
The error makes no sense to me. Why can I insert a row manually with no
error, but cannot insert programmatically? There are no hidden columns or
rows, just in case someone is going to point me to the Knowledge Base
articles about that.

Any ideas (other than using ADO.NET)?
