sending app from VS2005 to PDA with 2003

I have been tring to send applications from VS2005 beta 2 (team suite) to my
pocket pc 2003. The program compiles/builds well but as soon as I tell it to
debug and it ask if I want emulator or device. If I send to emulator it
tells me no VPN is installed and shows emulated form but not the program I
just built. If I send to device it asks me where I want to deploy, I tell it
pocket pc2003 program fails and says I need to upgrade Activesync. I have
the latest 3.8 where am I going wrong?? Do I have something to set up in
main program??? I am also a newbie to c# especially anything visual. All
other programs inc embedded c++ 4 send a compiled/built program to my PDA
hope there is a simple answer.
