Use of objects in <insertParameters>

Hi there

I have a really anoying question, which is probably VS 2005, framework
2.0 specific.

Usually when I connect a GridView or a DetailsView to a method in my
business class for example UpdateCustomerData(string name, int age,
original_id), my GridView automatically creates the

<UpdateParameters>
<asp:Parameter Name="name" Type="String" />
<asp:Parameter Name="age" Type="Int32" />
<asp:Parameter Name="original_id" Type="Int32" />
</UpdateParamters>

And the same for my insert parameters.

But what if my method expects an object of some kind, for example a
DataRow, so my method is UpdateCustomerData(DataRow Customer). How can
I make this work with my GridView or DetailsView. Everytime I chose the
Update method in the 'configuresource' wizard, my selection gets reset,
when I use the wizard again. Maybe it is not possible, because it
doesn't autogenerate any <UpdateParameters> as well in the source of
the *.aspx file.

My question is therfore...is it possible to use objects for inserting
and updating in a GridView or a DetailsView.

Hope the question is clear.
