Industry standards and practices

where can i find some documents pertaining Industry standards and practices
for c#/dot net programming? I am looking at my code and one of my friends
old code (he is a dot net guru times 10 ) and his code looks very different
than mine.

Can someoe point me in to the right direction please?

http://msdn.microsoft.com/practices/

That should point ya in the right direction...or at least give you a
starting point :)

Also, try reading the blogs at http://www.pnplive.com Some of the blogs
there aren't updated often, but they do have a questions and answers section
for some of the requests they get...which can be helpful (although, I had a
question many months ago that I presented in both email and at one of the
PnP conferences in Sacramento that never got answered....oh well, sometimes
you have to do it yourself)...all in all, they are helpful.

http:\\www.idesign.net has a pdf download of design standards for C# that
is something you can look at.

Are you talking about style (layout, naming, file organization) or
design?

Cheers,
