Seeking Help with XML and Collections

I'm very new to XML but understand how to take a simple object, serialize it,
save the data data into an XML file, and then later populate an empty object
with that saved data.

But the objects I need to work with include collections. And when it comes
to working with collections and XML I am completely stumped. I've read lots
of articles but frankly just don't understand them.

So I'm hoping that somebody could direct me to some articles on this subject
that they like and ones that hopefully include some sample C# code.
