Posting values between pages

That ASP.NET pages post to themselves, how do pages share information
amoung themselves? As in, if my index.aspx has to post data to
nextpage.aspx, how does it happen? Is it left to the developer to
persist relevant control values in a state dictionary such as Session
and read them back in the target/destination page nextpage.aspx?

You can pass values in the query string also.

That's a bit tedious to do. If I have to post them, there's no other
way but to Reponse.Redirect and before that store values in a state
dictionary, right?

You could put the values in session before redirecting as well. Try to stay
away from storing complex data in session if possible. Yes managing state
for web applications can be tedious.
