VS2005 - Client Side Javascript and Wizard Control

I've got a load of client side javascript that I want to use with the
wizard control. The idea being that when the user clicks on the "Next"

button then it will validate just that page. I don't want to use the
built in control validation as I have a lot of javascript that I'd like

to reuse for formatting etc ..
One idea was to use the PreRender and do something like this;
switch (Wizard1.ActiveStepIndex)
{
case 0: // page 1

ClientScript.RegisterOnSubmitS*tatement(this.GetTy pe(),
"submit", "return validateApplicationForm_Page1(*);");
break;
case 1:

ClientScript.RegisterOnSubmitS*tatement(this.GetTy pe(),
"submit", "return validateApplicationForm_Page2(*);");
....
it sticks the code in when rendered but the problem is that when u use
the wizard control it doesn't ever seem to hit the standard
javascript:return WebForm_OnSubmit() code which will them call my code
function WebForm_OnSubmit() {
return validateApplicationForm_Page2(*);
return true;

}
I think the reason is due to the non existence of the __doPostBack
jscript.

Has anyone ever done this or got any idea how you do bespoke client
side validation on a wizard control ?
Best Regards
Steve
