Opacity for controls

Is it possible to implement a feature similar to Form.Opacity for controls?
I have an image assigned as a background for the form. I'd like to
partially see the background image through the controls.

Is something like this possible?

Hi Frank,
to my knowledge there is no way to do that without creating your own
controls. This link may be of some help to you:
