ASP.Net C# in commercial environment

Hi,

I am thinking in the banking systems, the COBOL and IBM combinations.
And in the ASP.Net C#, is this a stable solution for applications running on
banking system?
I am asking this 'cuz I am thinking what the real value of the ASP.Net is.
Any advice will be appreciated.

HI Jason
This is a architecture decision depending on the nature of project. If
you are talking about stability as whole i think IBM will stand tall.
But if you are talking about less development time and good IDE support
etc etc ASP.NET and C# will stand tall.

BUt if i have less number of users or work load i think its better to
go for ASP.NET and C#.

Thanks Shivprasad,

But I'm thinking the COBOL and IBM has been dominating the banking system
quite a long time.
Isn't this a right time for the Microsoft to develp the .Net things to a
very stable edge to run on the banking system?
