Parameterized SQL text for Oracle?

When using SQL Sever, you can do:
string sql = "SELECT abc FROM mytable WHERE abe > @ABC";

I am wondering if this works for Oracle.

Oracle doesn't use the @ to identify a parameter but you can still use named
paramaters.

"SELECT abc FROM mytable WHERE abe > :ABC"

The idea is to use ':' instead of '@'

That what I want to know.

I guess the parameter name will be "ABC" without the quote rather than
":ABC."

Thanks

Just for people out there see this:

The parameter name is :ABC

Yes, with the column.
