Schedule Console Application - Security Issue

Hello, I am trying to figure out why when I physically use Remote Desktop
connections and sign on to my server and run a console application, it runs
just fine. But if I scedule that console application to run using my Domain
Name and my user ID and password, the job fails when it attempts to write the
output file which is located on another server. I am referencing the file
using the following convention....

\\Fred\customer_adjustment\weekly_detail\MyFile.tx t

Followed by the file name.
If I past the URL into my browser, it finds that location just fine.

Why does it work for me when I am physically logged on, but not when I
schedule the job using my Domanin Name and user ID and password?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!

Some more information might help, including a code sample and/or a stack
trace.
