How can I configure Solution Explorer?

When I double click on a source file in Solution Explorer it always brings up the design interface for a control. Is
there somewhere that I can change it so that it brings up the code instead?

not that I know of... The quickest way to bring up the code is to right
click on the item, then select "View code". Alternatively I spend my time in
the class view when looking through code, which makes it easier to navigate
with the class methods etc.

I just got the answer to this myself this past week. Hilight the file you
want in the Solution Explorer and right click. Choose the option Open With,
which will open a dialog screen. Choose the Editor option and be sure to
click the Set to Default button... now anytime you double a control or a
form, the code editor will open instead of the Visual Designer...
