when I double click on rowheader, columnheader then this event fires.

You can't. The double click is actually broken down in to two clicks: One
for the DataGrid. And one for the DataGrid cell.

It is a common problem that many have complained about. You have a few
choices. If you really Really REALLY have to have the double click on the
DataGrid working, then you can extend the DataGrid and try to capture the
double click event. Not too difficult, but, well, you get the idea. If you
have to you can check out Shepard's FAQ for hints:
http://www.syncfusion.com/FAQ/Window...44c.aspx#q869q
Another solution is to use a ContextMenu and let the user right click on the
grid. I find this is actually a better choice because I can give my users
more options than simply opening the selected item.
