using beta 2

Hi all. I'm just curious if there are any negatives (at least any BIG
negatives) to using the betas of VS2005 (actually I'm referring to the
Express Editions, not VS itself). I think I'm going to start doing some
tutorials and stuff like that, and I'll need the beta to follow along
and do it myself. I just want to know if it could wreck my computer in
any way.

Thanks.

I've used Express C# for over 30 projects without difficulty.

Cool. I figure there's only so long I can hold out learning the language
without actually using an IDE to write some stuff myself. I have a
couple of free IDEs, but I might as well start using Express, since I
plan to get it when it's officially released.

(the full version is available online -- that would be better than the
express)

as far as negatives, the only one that I have encountered is the amount of
time required un-installing (in order! as described...) other products that
use Whidbey beta components -- if we can redirect to previous versions at
runtime, why can't they?

other than that, no real issues. there are some extremely helpful new
features (generics and refactoring) that make using 2.0 advantageous).
