Also you can use a instance variable to save the current value, like this:

string currentvalue= "";

void TextChanged.( object sender, ...)
{
// use textbox.Text
if ( txtbox.Text != currentvalue )
{
}
//update the variable
currentvalue = txtbox.Text;
}
