Console app, with Web status screen

I have a console application. It's basically a socket server, handling
comms for a number of mobile devises.

I want to add a simple status web page, that can give me basic details
like the number of active connections. I have been looking at the ASP
stuff, having never used it before, and it looks at bit OTT for what I
need. Can anyone suggest an alternative, like a simple web server class?
