Eric, thanks for the kind words. Yes, it is early, but there is strong
interest in version 2.0 and we wanted to make a guide available. My hope is
that it will be helpful for those who want to understand the newly updated
language, and the changes between what is covered in my book and what will
be in the final release will be trivial and cosmetic (remember, my books
focuses on the language, not extensively on user interface elements).

I love your book (I have an earlier edition), but isn't it a bit early to
release a v2 book before the second beta has been released?

I've used your book as a guide in teaching c# in my company, so it has
stood up to the hardest challenge - that of teaching the language to
experienced programmers. This is a hard group to teach because they spot
errors and inconsistencies that newbies wouldn't catch. Your book has
been very good, and you cover a lot of interesting topics.

I am unhappy with Tom Archer's book, "Inside C#". The first edition of
this book came out when .net was in beta, and it was followed-up with a
new edition when the final release of 1.0 came. Tom didn't bother to
track errata on his first edition, maybe because there was so much of
it. People who have his first edition might as well throw it away,
because there are a lot of bugs and no errata.

I was worried about your release for this same reason. I can't keep
buying new editions frequently. However, I checked your web site and you
do offer errata for your earlier editions, so this is great. It's
impossible to release a perfect book given real-world time constraints.
Errata on your web site is good protection against obsolescence.

I'm going to order your 4th edition now.

We felt there as strong interest in learning how to code with the C# 2.0,
even in beta (the CTPs are out in general use). Of course, given that the
betas have not fully settled down, I'm working hard to keep my web site

which will be for experienced C# developers who just want to know what is
