Slow build?! please help

I have solution containing over than 25 projects, and when i press "Rebuild
Solution", it starts, but in few seconds - it stops for about 10 sec, and
then continues... It gets pretty irritating to wait so long for each build.
Few days ago it woked ok, but now it doesnt...

Anyone has any idea what could it be? Solution has 25 class libraries and 1
web project.
My configuration: P4 3ghz, 1 gb ram, and 2xWDRaptor10kprm RAID0...

please help, i'm goin crazy

thanx

I had a similar problem with C++. As It turned out, it was caused by MIrc
(or may be some virus that entered from irq server). The only thing I can
advice: reinstall windows. First you may try to "upgrade" it. It is faster
and you have not reinstall programs. If this step does not help you have
choice either format disk or waste some time on compilation.

I got a similar problem a while ago and it was due to the fact that my PC
was connected to an NT4 domain controller.
So, if you are in the same config (NT4 domain controller), you can take a
look at the following post:

If you are *not* running from an NT4 domain controller, do not apply the
workaround, your problem is somewhere else.
