Trying to edit remote XML

I am currently trying to convert my application that uses mysql connection
to a remote server to xml. Using ado i can just directly connect and edit
those tables. Converting to xml, I run into the problem of editing the
remote data. I am thinking maybe just create a local copy and then just
upload the file but that seems too complex, I would think there would be an
easier way of doing this. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks
in advance!
