Good ASP.NET literature

I have started to read ASP.NET by Jesse Liberty,
however the book and I don't seem to be connecting
very well. I am new to ASP.NET and am looking for a
really good book to get me up and running. I am
conversant with C#.

Please let me have your experience based advice.

Hello Zach,

You don't need a book to get yourself going with ASP .NET (sorry book authors).
Here is where I got myself going with ASP .NET.

http://samples.gotdotnet.com/quickstart/aspplus/

If you go through all the samples understanding most of them, you'll in good
shape.
