If you want to go over the VPN with private IPs out to the public Internet,
you'll need to use a proxy server or NAT/PAT gateway -- i.e., you gotta get
things to route; nothing is special just because it's a VPN.
But, if the FTP server is on the VPN network, then my suggestion would be to
just have the FTP service listen on the VPN interface as well.

Hi,
I am using Windows 2003 Server. The VPN works fine, but I want to FTP
through the VPN so the connection is encrypted. The problem is each of my
IIS sites has a real Internet address specified, w.x.y.z. So when the VPN
comes up using a private IP, I can't connect to any of the FTP sites using
the VPN server's IP, 10.10.10.2. Could you give me specific directions how
to deal with this?
Thank you for your help.
