How to communicate between a COM server & Java Client

hi,
I need to communicate between a COM server and a Java Client application.
The need is to transfer a formatted array of string.
The Solution should be somewhat DDE based architecture.
Any pointers or samples is welcome.
Thanks And Best Regards
Alok
