Repeating Sound File

Why does this return a blank?

public static int GetDurationInMS(string fileName)
{
System.Text.StringBuilder totalTime = new
System.Text.StringBuilder(128);
int duration = 0;
try
{
string sCommand = "status MediaFile length";
mciSendString(sCommand,totalTime.ToString(),
totalTime.Capacity,IntPtr.Zero);
MessageBox.Show(totalTime.ToString()); // wHY BLANK MESSAGE
duration = Convert.ToInt32(totalTime);
}
catch
{
MessageBox.Show("Error getting duration in milliseconds!", "
Internal Error");
}
return duration;
}

I set the time format of the sound file before this.

Anyone who can help me PLEASE DO !!!!!!

THANKS
