Programming in VB with MS Mappoint

Not sure if anyone in this forum can help me or not but I've tried actual
Mapppoint discussion groups and they don't even answer my query. I'm getting
desperate so I've attached my question and hope that someone can provide some
guidance on this problem.

"I have a database that uses MapPoint Control in an MS Access form and is
supposed to map addresses for both Canada and the US based on values entered
in the address fields on this form. It seems that my app only trys to map my
addresses in either country but not both.

And for some reason, the country that is being matched to, is the country
that I last did a search on in my actual Mappoint application using teh find
feature.

Does anyone know if there a correlation between the find box in Mappoint and
MPC and if so, how do I correct this?"
