calling a C# function from umnanaged DLL

Hello,
I have a DLL which requires a callback function the signature of the
callback function is

int callback(void *, int argc, char **argv, char **azColName);

How can I cast the void* to the particular type of class or struct that I
need? Also how can access the array of strings?

Also, If I have a function in the DLL with the following signature:

int foo(char** argv);

which allocates a string and sets the pointer to the string . How do I pass
this argument and then later read it from C#? Also how do I free the string
allocated?
