can a file exist in ram?

Hi,

From within a program I would like to open a open a string in notepad or
wordpad. Normally this is done by saving the string to a file and then call
notepad with the file a an argument using System.Diagnostigs.Process,
however, is there a way to avoid saving the file on disk. Is it possible to
save it on a 'ramdisk' or something

Hi Jesper:

I'm thinking you could use SendKeys to programatically type the text
into Notepad, or use the Clipboard to paste the text into Notepad. You
might want to investigate this thread:

Actually, a memory-mapped file is exactly the reverse: A file which
appears to be in memory, but is actually on disk.
