HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Software Classes BIG TROUBLE

Uh OH, I apparently did something really bad. I was manually destroying some
spyware and I tryed to delete the registry directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes
I think I may have just broke all the associations to all my programs.
What can I do?

For starters - Take a backup next time.

If this was XP, and if you haven't turned restore off on your drives, you
might have a slightly outdated registry backup available in the last
restore.

Perhaps, next time just use the free Adaware app to remove those
registry entries. I'd suspect you'd get better results.
