Checking for update in help menu returns always errors.....

Hi,
I'm trying to check fo rthe updates but always I get the below error
message. I did all the windows updates first and tried to do this but I got
the same problem. I have tried to several PCs from work and from home but I
got the same message again(so it is not the LAN or net configuration).

Any idea ????

Thank yoiu in advance.

I get this error when I don't have Internet Explorer set as the default
browser. As soon as I change it so that IE *is* the default browser, it
works fine.
