Console App in Sys Tray

I have a console application that runs all the time on a server. Is there a
way to place the app in the system tray when it is minimized? So that it
isn't in the task bar. I would pretty much just like it to run in the
background.

Thanks - Drew

Hi,

AFAIK this is not doable, you need a windows application in order to put it
on the systray, with a console application don't think you can do it. Why
don't you create a windows application for this?
OR even better create a window service, it does run in the background and
you can create a controller that sits in the systray (like the SQL service
manager).

But you definely need to change the type of project.

Cheers,
