Are you trying to change the location of binary DLLs that are loaded by your
web app? By default, they go in the application's bin subdirectory. The
runtime will look in the GAC initially for assemblies that have strong
names. The path that's searched for assemblies can be configured in several
ways, but in general, for simplified versioning and deployment you just drop
assemblies into the bin directory. If you need to share assemblies, put them
in the GAC.
What are you trying to accomplish, and do your assemblies have strong names?
