Validating Active Directory

Hi,

I am creating DirectoryEntry in the C#.Net by taking the constructor

DirectoryEntry("LDAP://<Domain>",<UserName>,<Pwd>,AuthenticationType.Se c
ure)

and creating the DirectoryEntry. But i am connecting through VPN
(Virtual Private Network) when i am connecting through VPN i am taking
the Username,Domain and Pwd and creating a DirectoryEntry for whether
the User Exists in the Domain with that Password. To Check that i am
using different properties..given by the DirectoryEntry Class, but
whatever the property is used to validate whether Active Directory is
created it is taking more than 25 seconds. How do i check whether the
ActiveDirectory is created with the given Domain,userName,Pwd in the
.Net.

Is there any efficient way of doing this. Please help me.
